In Russia, two CMI heat recovery boilers are to be supplied to the 495 MW Nizhnekamsk combined cycle power plant in Tatarstan, to operate behind Siemens SGT5-2000E gas turbines.

The contract was awarded to CMI by Entrade Gmbh, a German subsidiary of ENKA Power. This new project is being developed by Nizhnekamsk Neftekhim, a Russian conglomerate belonging to Tatar American Investment Fund, to which CMI has already supplied a boiler, for the Kazan power plant (pictured), commissioned in 2017.

ENKA has so far ordered 47 boilers from CMI, and thanks to CMI’s Russian certification status (TR-CU), a major requirement in Russia, the company has supplied nine boilers to Russian projects in recent years.
