Siemens Solar and Shell International Renewables are negotiating closer cooperation in solar energy. The two companies have been linked for the past ten years through two joint ventures in Asia.
The new discussions area aimed at achieving a joint venture involving the two global solar energy businesses.
Siemens Solar is itself a joint venture between Siemens and E.ON Energie. Shell Renewables, meanwhile, has manufacturing and marketing facilities in Germany, the Netherlands, India, Japan, Sri Lanka and the Philippines.
