A damaged crankshaft weighing 111 tonnes from one of Jamaica’s largest diesel powered plants being airlifted aboard an Antonov Airlines flight to Vitoria, Spain for urgent repairs. The plant it comes from supplies around 20 per cent of the island’s total needs, and the crankshaft itself is one of only two on the island.
