The investigation, carried out by HSE’s Nuclear Installations Inspectorate (NII), culminated in a prosecution of British Nuclear Group Sellafield and fines of £500,000 ($1 million) plus costs of over £67,000 ($130,000).
The report outlines 55 recommendations and actions arising from the investigation and discusses lessons for BNGS and the wider nuclear industry.
