In phase one the roof of the new plant, in which Frit Ravich is to invest almost €2 million, will be covered with solar panels. Subsequently, photovoltaic panels will be added to an additional available surface area of 2,500m².
The move comes as the power giant announces a similar deal with Spanish automobile dealers covering a total surface area of 500,000m2.
Total investment in the project could reach €20 million.
The chairman of Faconauto, the Spanish Automobile Dealers Association, signed a cooperative agreement which plans for around a thousand automobile dealers located throughout Spain to take part in this initiative.
With this investment, an average of 50,508.000 kWh/year of renewable energy could be produced.
Meanwhile, Endesa has also reached an agreement with Africa’s Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality (EMM) to purchase emissions reductions credits from a portfolio of four landfill gas extraction projects developed by EMM.
EMM is a municipality in the province of Gauteng in South Africa, adjacent to Johannesburg and Pretoria.
