Ecuadorian utility Elecaustro has placed an order worth EUR9 million with Alstom Hydro for the supply of key equipment for a new hydropower plant.
The 26 MW Ocaña plant will be equipped with two 13 MW vertical pelton turbine-generator units supplied by Alstom, who will also supply speed governors, safety valves, excitation and protection equipment, spare parts and special erection tools.
The equipment will be delivered to the plant’s site in the southwestern province of Cañar over the next two years.
