Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI), Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems (MHPS) and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Compressor Corporation (MCO) report successful testing of MHPS’s 2-shaft 120 MW H-100 gas turbine.

Employing advanced combustor technology, the H-100 is described by its developers as the “industry leader” in terms of low NOx, achieving single digit ppm at full-load, and is “able to provide innovative solutions for thermal power plants as well as mechanical drive LNG applications, utilising high-efficiency compressors manufactured by MCO.”

Following successful completion of testing, MHI President & CEO Shunichi Miyanaga commented, “We are confident this can be a game-changer…We can now deliver increased productivity, reduced complexity and lower lifecycle costs, while significantly reducing plant emissions.”
