Under a recently signed contact, Fortum Engineering is to provide consulting services as owner’s engineer to the Latvian company SJC Latvenergo for the Riga TPP-1 refurbishment project. The scheme involves replacement of the old power plant with a new combined cycle gas turbine plant with an output of around 100-150 MW. The scope of the contact includes compiling documents for invitations to tender, comparison of tenders and assistance in concluding an engineering, procurement and construction contact, design review and supervision of implementation.
