Centrica looks outside the UK
2 August 2023Alfen and Centrica are working together to build Centrica’s first battery storage development project outside the UK, a 24 MW/54 MWh facility to be located in Ostend on land at Ostend Basic Chemicals.
The battery will participate in Belgium’s capacity market to help ensure the country’s long-term supply of power as it prioritises green energy and a commitment to shut down five of its seven nuclear reactors by 2025.
