Dresser-Rand has announced that it has been awared a contract for two KG2-3E gas turbine standby power generation systems from Elite Electric & Machine of Taiwan. These systems wll be installed in Taipei at the main data communication centre of Chunghwa Telecom, and they will be replacing several diesel units that are currently located at the site.

The power generation equipment will be delivered by July 2000, with the total project to be completed by the end of November 2000. Dresser-Rand will also conduct training, installation supervision and start up.
