Palletable power

23 March 2001

One of Brazil's largest pallet manufacturing plants has recently installed a Scania powered Atlas Copco generating set for standby power. Embalatec, based in the town of Salto, near Sao Paulo, is one of the country's largest wooden pallet producers, making on average 1000 a week, and operates continuously for 18 hours a day. The genset is a QA370 374 kVA unit capable of generating enough emergency power for all essential machinery and for factory lighting.
