Pure energy Reconquistore

Wärtsilä has recently won a number of orders for its Pure Energy Plant in Spain.

Saica. Saica is a paper mill group that has ordered one 25SG gas engine for each of their five paper mills. The plants, each of which will be 3 MW units, will be operational by April 1999.

Alcoholeras. Eneralco, a company formed by Alcoholeras and Union Fenosa, has placed an order for a 9 MW plant with three 25SG gas engines. The plant will be operational by May 1999.

Palacios. Embutidos Palacios has ordered three 25SG gas engines for a 9 MW plant, due to enter operation in November 1999.

Beauporc and Cuarte. Samper Group and Elecnor have formed a cogeneration company that has placed orders for four 25SG units for an 11 MW plant, due to be operational in June 1999.

Confirel. Papelera la Conianza and Relsa have formed a cogeneration company that has ordered one 34SG unit to provide 5.5 MW for their Cinfirel plant, due to enter operation in October 1999.

Besos. Besos is a waste treatment plant that will use six 28SG engines to produce 28 MW, due to enter operation in December 1999.

A total of 170 MW have been ordered from Spain.
