There’s a lot of gas in Brazil

1 June 2001

Following its inauguration by the president of Bolivia, the San Alberto field gas treatment plant has recently started pumping natural gas to Brazil through a 1500 mile pipeline. Power is provided by a power station consisting of three Cummins 1.25 MW gas gensets, each a QSV91G powered by an 18 cylinder 91 litre gas engine running at 1200 rpm.
