ABB Alstom Power has successfully completed a 340 MWe simple cycle peaking plant, an extension to the E W Brown Station in Burgin, Kentucky, USA. Construction began in December 1998, and it entered commercial operation in August 1999. The power plant has two GT24 gas turbines.
