The work includes new windings, new stator cores, new thrust bearings, new exciters and the re- insulation of the existing pole coils. Unit 1 is scheduled to be completed by September 2007 and Unit 2 by September 2008.
Alstom to refurbish two US hydro generators
The US Bureau of Reclamation has awarded a $13 million contract by to refurbish two 142 MVA generators at the SHASTA hydroelectric power plant in northern California to engineering firm Alstom.
