Sydkraft has sent in an application to the EU Commission regarding the decision that had been taken in June 1999 by the Swedish Supreme Administrative Court that it did not need to secure an advance ruling from the Court of Justice of the European Community.
The EU Commission is proceeding with the review of the competition aspects of the Swedish government’s decision to phase out the Barsebäck 1 nuclear power plant.
