Krupp Hazemag will supply the complete coal-handling plant for Turkey’s biggest lignite-fired power station. The 600 million French francs order was placed by Babcock subsidiary BBP Energy GmbH.
BBP Energy is part of a consortium with the $1.6 billion project for Turkish utility TEAS. Afsin Elbistan B power plant will be built at Elbistan, eastern Turkey, comprising of four units, each of 360 MWe. The first unit will start operating in 2003.
