Wood Group Gas Turbines of the UK and EGCO of Thailand have opened a joint venture company in Thailand to provide a major gas turbine repair facility near Bangkok.
The ESCO Wood joint venture combines EGCO Engineering & Service Company (ESCO) and Wood Group Heavy Industrial Turbines. ESCO Wood is the only dedicated industrial gas turbine repair shop in Thailand.
The facility is located on the Map Ta Phut industrial estate, 180 km from Bangkok. ESCO Wood provides a repair facility for transition pieces, combustion chambers, shroud blocks and similar turbine components.
