The project, located approximately 120 km northeast of Calgary, consists of two 75 MW phases with construction estimated to begin in 2008 and commercial operations expected to begin in 2009.
The sale from Penn West Petroleum came at a purchase price of C$3,350,000 ($2.7 million), with a conservative estimate of 208 GWh annual generation for phase 1, named Ghost Pine.
