The purchase of additional assets in South and Southeast Asia is expected to close later in 2006, while the acquisition of a significant interest in NEPC, a 113 MW natural gas-fired generator in Bangladesh, closed earlier in the year.
Globeleq buys into Asia power
Emerging markets power company Globeleq has completed the purchase of power assets in Pakistan and Bangladesh from El Paso Corp, including a significant interest in Fauji Kabirwala, a 157 MW natural gas fired generator in Pakistan.
