The Power Grid Corp. of India has placed a $33 million order with US company GE Harris for an energy management and control system for the network supplying the southern region of India. The project will involve control of 18 000 MW of generating capacity.
Cegelec has also won contracts from Power Grid for a data transmission system and a network control system.
