TECO Power Services (TPS) and Panda Energy International have selected NEPCO as EPC contractor for the 2200 MW Gila river power station in Gila Bend, Arizona. The project is scheduled for commercial operation in the summer of 2003.
Gila River is being developed as a joint venture between TPS and Panda. The natural gas-fired facility will utilise GE 7F gas turbines. Output from the plant will be sold to wholesale customers across Arizona, and the SW USA.
