Potomac Electric Power Company’s (PEPCO) plan to sell its power plants and become a region-wide distributor of energy and telecommunications services cleared its major regulatory hurdle with approval from the District of Columbia Public Service Commission.
Pepco will begin a two-stage year-long auction of its generating assets, including 5320 MWe in four plants.
