Russian Industry and Energy Minister Viktor Khristenko reportedly said: “Generally Speaking, the electricity reform’s transition period will take until the end of 2008,” adding: “This is a little later than originally planned, [but] minimising the risks is more important than fixed dates.”
Russian reforms due for completion in 2008
Senior figures in the Russian government have insisted that the planned reform of the country’s power sector will be largely complete by 2008, despite a series of delays in the programme so far.
