The agreements, subject to approval by the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC), include two geothermal contracts with 100 MW from Ormat Nevada Imperial County and 50 MW from Caithness Dixie Valley, two new wind contracts in Apple Valley supplying 81 MW, and 250 MW from the Rumorosa project in the Baja Peninsula of Mexico, the latter with new California renewable provider Sempra Generation.

Additionally, SCE has signed a baseload biomass contract based on a new power contracting option the utility introduced in May 2007 to help smaller biomass generators. Finally, 1 MW of solar energy was also added to the portfolio.
