The world’s fifth largest wind turbine manufacturer, Indian company Suzlon, along with China’s CGN Wind Energy Co, are to develop jointly 800 MW of domestic and international projects over the next three years.
Suzlon Group has entered into a global partnership agreement with CGN, a wholly owned subsidiary of China Guangdong Nuclear Power Group. The financial terms of the partnership were not disclosed.
Tulsi Tanti, the chairman of Suzlon, said “We at Suzlon are delighted to partner with CGNWE for the development of wind projects globally with our latest generation of turbines. The professional approach of CGNWE and its experience in developing large projects make this a symbiotic partnership.” CGN Wind Energy Co Ltd is one of the largest wind power developers in China with an installed capacity of around 3000 MW.
In a statement, the company said a working team has been set up to explore the most viable projects globally, covering Brazil, South Africa, India and China amongst others.
