Siemens KWU has handed over the first combined cycle power plant in Portugal to Turbogás, which will operate the plant. The Tapada do Outeiro plant has a total output of 900 MWe, generating roughly 20 per cent of Portugal’s electricity.
Siemens supplied three V94.3A gas turbines, three steam turbines, associated generators and the I&C systems.
