Power line A new transmission link between a 390 MWe power plant owned by Csepeli Eromu, a subsidiary of the UK’s PowerGen, and Budapest distribution company Elektromos Muvek (Elmu) has been completed. The CCGT plant is expected to produce electricity from November for which state-owned Magyar Villamos Muvek (MVM) has signed a long-term power purchase agreement. MVM will retain ownership of the transmission line and has further obligations to increase connections between Csepeli Eromu facilities and the national transmission network. The transmission link required an MVM investment of Ft1.5 billion ($6 million).
