A new draft report by the EPA, stipulated under the 1992 Rio Framework Convention, shows that US greeenhouse gas (GHG) emissions increased during 1997-1998.
The report also identifies the largest single source of GHGs as CO2 coming from fossil-fuelled generation, accounting for some 80 per cent of the total GHG emissions growth during 1990 – 1998.
